Winter Workshop: Pruning Woody Shrubs

Pruning helps to improve plant health, control plant size, and encourage flowering and fruiting. Join City Green at our annual Winter Pruning Workshop so that you can learn new skills and gain confidence when it comes to pruning flourishing shrubs and training small trees.  Common home and landscape plants will be covered including hydrangeas, dogwoods, maples, and viburnums.

This event consists of an indoor presentation, followed by an outdoor portion where attendees will tour the garden and see the pruning techniques put into practice. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for this outdoor event. This event requires participants to safely use stairs and navigate unpaved, uneven grounds.
